Rick Farrant is a former award-winning journalist and currently a Fort Wayne marketing professional. He is a published author (Crossing Over: One Woman’s Escape from Amish Life) and essayist (Home Again: Essays and Memoirs from Indiana), and is at work on another book tentatively titled Somewhere Bluebirds Fly: An Adoptee’s Search for Home. The New York native studied theater at Montana State University and has acted in numerous community theater productions throughout the country.
Rick has also volunteered and worked at Unity Performing Arts Foundation off and on for nearly two decades, starting the organization’s creative writing program, teaching oratory, assisting with Unity’s concert monologues, and singing with the choir. He is the father of four grown children and lives with his wife, Lynn, in Fort Wayne.
