Deborah Yoder was born and raised in Fort Wayne. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Saint Francis. Deborah worked for the State of Indiana for 10 years before moving to Chicago for a position as an instructor for the Department of Homeland Security for 10 years. Deborah learned about Unity after their success in China at the 2010 World Choir Games and enrolled her granddaughter in the Voices of Unity in the fall of 2011. Soon after, she was offered a part time position on staff as a Program Assistant. What Deborah finds most powerful and positive about Unity is how every child is empowered and encouraged to step outside of their comfort zone and believe that they can reach for and achieve their dreams.
