A 2-day workshop for middle and high school students to participate in learning the history of step into providing an interactive platform to learn step moves and work as a team. We will showcase this non-traditional artform. Students who are interested will be able to ‘audition’ to perform for our Showcase in May.

What is Steppin’? “Complex synchronized dancelike performance that blends African folk traditions with popular culture”. Stepping involves clapping, body slapping, vocalizations, and dramatic movements.
